17 March 2011 Trailblazer Sulaiman Khan wins national campaigning award
Trailblazers are thrilled to announce that our London Ambassador, Sulaiman Khan, has been revealed as the national winner of the V inspired SHOUT Award for his campaigning with the network.
The Awards, held at held at the Indigo2 in Greenwich, London, were a gala event attended by more than 70 regional award winners, celebrities and special guests including Natasha Beddingfield, James Caan, Keith Lemon and Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson.
Sulaiman received the award for his ground-breaking, imaginative and dedicated campaigning for the rights of young disabled people. He was also joined at the event by fellow Trailblazer, Carl Tilson, who won the North West regional SHOUT prize and was also shortlisted for a national award.

Sulaiman is a passionate, committed and innovative campaigner for the rights of young disabled people. Sulaiman's tenacious and intelligent campaigns (locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally) employ a broad range of campaigning techniques that ensure decision makers are made aware of the things that have a negative impact on his and other disabled people's lives.
Trailblazers project manager Bobby Ancil said:
I'm so pleased that Sulaiman's efforts with Trailblazers have been recognised. He is a fantastic campaiginer and is determined to fight for his and other people's rights. Today, all Trailblazers should feel very proud of the difference they are making to the lives of young disabled people.
