passport photo booth

13 January 2011 passport photos

I need a pass port sized photo for renewing my cinema application form but the shop I use to get them done at has closed down!

Now if I wasnt in a wheelchair I could simply pop to my local shop and go in a photo booth to get them done and I wouldnt be thinking anymore about it BUT as I cant get into these very popular booths (they seem to be everywhere you go these days) to get my photo taken, the question Im asking is "Does anyone know where I can go to get a pass port sized photo taken?"

Oh, the number of times I've had this problem. So hard not to just depress yourself with the 'faff' you end up having to go through. I tried to go to my local photo printing shop (Max Spielmann) but then found out it had a step! So as Sukhi also commented above, I have to have someone take a photo of me on a digital camera up against a plain wall, then print it out on the highest quality print using photo paper on my computer. You need to make sure that the photos you print are 45mm high and 35mm wide, which is the size a passport photo needs to be. Again, a classic example of the trouble a wheelchair-user has to go to, simply to do something that able-bodied people take for granted!! Good luck!

Well after searching the town and being told numerous times by staff "oh theres a photo booth over there!" I eventually got my photos done in a shop that had reasonable good access too! (lets hope this 1 doesnt close down).
I dont know if its just cos I havent had them taken in a while or if its because they are the only place that does them so they can charge more for demand but for 6 photos I thought £7.49 was alot to pay too!
And going to the expense of buyin photo paper isnt right either!

This is definetly putting the disabled customer at a big disadvantage when it seems such a simple task to undertake.

    Hey

Have you tried local pharmacies, they seem to have the pull down screen and portable camera- some Boots stores even have them!

I am not sure if you have them up in the north east, but snappy snaps stores and Klick photopoint usually have them too!
